The genome of B. chinense DC

The genome size of B. chinense DC was estimated by flow cytometry before genome sequencing, where the tomato genome (comprising 900 Mb) was used as a reference. The relative fluorescence intensity of B. chinense DC nuclei indicated that its genome size is approximately 62% smaller than that of tomato, which is approximately 540 Mb.
